Sunday, September 15, 2013 marks the day i bought Call of Duty: World at War on steam. My first game on steam. The best part about it was it was on sale, so i want to create this thread for everyone to post steam sales on. You can also leave sales from other places as well. :)

Steam ID: speedx77x

There was another thread like this but I can't find it anywhere. Oh well. If you do not have the bioshock series yet now would be the time to jump on this deal. Steam keys worked for me.

There is that myself and I believe epidemik were running but cba :P

I am happy yo let this run, just please stop double/triple posting, you can edit your last post if you want to add another deal and it will be just as visible as a whole new post

His last post was from 2 days ago. If he just edited that post, no one would even know he posted new deals. (Not that it excuses his first 3 posts in a row...)

EDIT: A note to the OP, though. There's no need to post the pre-purchase discounts. Steam does that for every pre-purchase. And really, I wouldn't post a deal below like 20-30% off.

It does not have to be on the front page to be seen. It may have been two days ago but that puts it 3 or 4 threads below the stickies.

That is for one. For two, if people are interested in the deals they will reply, or if they want to contribute by posting deals they will reply. If they do not, people are clearly not fussed so the same number of people will see it if he posts 100 times in a row as if he posts once and edits another 99 times, all it will do is bump a post count. He essentially then has a thread to post to himself and nobody else, which is pointless for everyone

This kind of thing will happen if people use the deals

Thanks for that :good: Already had Bioshock though so I have a spare key

Just because no one replies doesn't mean that they don't see or get the deal. And if they see it they can tell their friends or family. This post got like 100 views in a day.

And relax a bit some of you guys act so serious, its just a computer forum where you can talk to people with similar interest. :)

Said it before, reddit's game deals section is great and it doesn't only look at steam, GMG and other good places are on there and they often have great deals too

The point is mate there is forum etiquette. There is an edit button for a reason. So far since your two posts there has been me saying don't double post, Troncoso questioning that and jonny saying there is already this elsewhere and done better as there are more peoople. Nothing there is on topic.

If I hadn't have replied Troncoso wouldn't have, and I wager jonny wouldn't have either, so then what? You would have replied to yourself with more link and then just keep posting again...and again... and again... and again. It is not about taking it seriously, it is about forum etiquette and it is about flogging a dead horse. If people were interested in these deals or posting them up, they would respond, as it is nobody is fussed.

As an example of where your "100 people saw it, therefore 100 people must be interested" falls down, I started a thread a few weeks back in the FS section looking to buy an iPod. Nobody replied, it has hundreds of views. Clearly nobody that viewed it had one to sell, but looked anyway. I wager the majority, if not all, that looked at this thread had no interest in the sales, posting them, replying to them or whatever, they were just curious at best at what is said, not what you are sharing.

By all means carry on posting the deals, but just stop with the double and triple posts
