thanks for this, I can't wait to see amd using the same or better manufacturing process as intel, as it has never happened in either companies history ever since amd started making there own processors.

yeah, and as more comes in, on motherboards etc too, i'll try to update, you all are more than welcome to contribute, i'm just one kid :P
thanks for all the thanks!

Very helpful post, thanks Mr. Johanssen

But just one thing, you put Intel then underneath that you put a table for AMD cpus?

Bit confusing mate...

I can't wait until AMD releases the 45nm Deneb quad core for AM2+ socket. I'm going to get on as soon as i can. ...

Thanks Mitch. Keep us updated. I'm mostly concerned about this RAM voltage issue, but I'm guessing Intel will have it sorted by launch time.

I'd suggest tagging the thread with: Nehalem, Intel and AMD.

there's already new ddr3 memory with lower voltages coming out for nehalem. look at some of the newer models for OCZ

you cant use performance memory for core i7 because it'll kill the chips, so even if you were allowed to force a higher vdimm, you're not going to want to

It's nice to see that my new AM2+ board will come into good use. Those Deneb AM2+ quads look pretty great!

Then again, if the price drops enough, I might just settle for a 9950 BE. The 125W version, that is...

nevermind the before post... i got it, but forgot to update that, thought sometimes mentally retarded, i have regained my competence.

Added first launch of i7 prices and a few i7 reviews.
Added Shanghai server chip link (about current leads of AMD 65nm servers)
