I was bored during class so I went on newegg and started building the perfect computer for playing videos/dvds/etc to a TV of some sort...

Why not go for a desktop case? I think silverstone and antec have some nice ones. And yeah, get a better tuner. Aside from that, looks good

mrbagrat - That is a desktop, it just comes with little feet so it could stand as a tower.

liuliuboy - I always liked the idea of booting from solid state devices. They're so much more reliable, and that would help with heat and energy usage, along with sound(assuming the storage drive spins down)

As for a sound card, I thought about it... I have a similar board in my compaq(well, chipset and all) and the audio sounds quite good. I figured having optical out, it should have a perfect linkup to some stereo.
