I got something stuck under the "c" key on my keyboard, and as a result every time I hit it nothing happened. I pulled out my PC tool bag and used a small screwdriver to carefully dislodge the key. Sure enough it came off, but unfortunately I also managed to destroy whatever was holding the key in place. I feel like a dunce. Over the years I've taken apart lots of keyboards and never had one break on me.
I kept using the keyboard for a couple of weeks thereafter, but for some reason my fingers didn't want to touch the black knob where the key used to be. I kept hitting the "x" or "v" next to it. Luckily I received a new keyboard for my birthday. My kids gave me a Logitech K800 illuminated.
