StrangleHold,
long time no see!
that's what i thought too, but it just worked the other day. The cord is "brand new (not a bought used item)" - 4 months, so you can start to see the issue. On top of that, this cord has been running just fine before that. Another confusing thing is that when the cord is plugged in, a light appears on my computer
I think there are 3 colored lights on my computer, but at least 2 for sure. These colors (the light. Lightbulb produced from the shell at the outside of the computer) are white, blue, and brown. When the power cord is plugged in and the computer is getting juice, the color of the light in the "power" section is blue (what it USED TO look like when the computer was working just fine). When the computer wasn't getting any juice, the color of the light in the "power" section is brown (it no longer does this). The very last time before it worked last (getting juice) it took a couple of seconds for the blue light to turn on on the computer even after it had already been plugged in (power cord) for several seconds
johnb35,
hi bro, glad to talk to you again.
now, the thing that it does is to show a white light for 1/4 of a second and then goes completely black in the lightbulb "power" section of the computer, even when the power cord is still plugged in and has been plugged in for several minutes. It is one of those power cords that does not show a light on the power cord itself

The lightbulb lights appear on the outer shell of the computer.
I thought it was most likely the power cord

but before spending the money, which i don't really have, i just wanted to make sure, before i bought the cord. The volts of the cord are different from my other one

What would happen if you plugged a 19.5 Volt power cord into a computer that is designed to handle only an 18.5 volts? i have an extra Brand New 19.5 volt power cord, so I'm trying to figure out if i can use this for the 18.5 volt computer model that i have... But what happens when i plug the 18.5 power cord into the 19.5 V designed second computer is that it works just fine
oh, wow, i just fixed it!!!!!!!!!1:good:
the battery was loose and was not properly connected. I don't know how THIS could have effected it, but apparently the symbol for no battery is the exact same symbol as the power cord is not connected. A might bit confusing you might say, not to mention ambiguous. However, this STILL does not "explain" why i am getting NO LIGHT in the power section of the computer. This is all very baffling, and even though it is fixed, I am still confused about this matter. I just plain doesn't make sense, plain and simple
thanks for talking to me.
1 maybe one of you might have an explaination for this type of technological event?
