I was working with excel document on MS Excel 2010, unexpectedly the light was off. After couple of minutes, I turned on my machine, I checked document, and most of the data was lost. Excel offered to get my data back, but it was successfully only on a half.

I believe Excel does an auto save every few minutes. If your PC lost power then that's all the data left

It would be a good habit to save every five minutes. I learned that back in the DOS days, when programming in COBOL.
