The screen recieves no signal from pc!!

hi
i have a pretty old desktop computer and i havent used if for a long time but the yesterday i wanted to try it and when i switch it on the pc makes a normal noise like it always does when its running but the screen just stayed black. i tried it with different screen and it happend the same. Does anyone what the problem is??
 
Are the monitors you tried both ones that you know to be working?

Are the monitors set to display the type of input they are hooked up to the tower with? (i.e. VGA)
 
Unplug the computer.
Remove the battery (CMOS) from the motherboard.
Hold down the power button on the computer (with it all disconnected) for 10 secs.
Wait a minute or two.
Replace battery.
Replace power cable.
Try again.
