NOTE: My computer's details and such are at the BOTTOM of my post.
This is driving me insane.
I use two user accounts on my computer. One is my main account; Music, pictures, the slower one. The second one is my 'Speed Account'; made purely for when I can't be bothered with the slow startup of my main account.
I usually played The Sims 2 on my main account, because it has about 40 custom Sims on it.
As I said before, I use my Speed Account when I'm desperate.
Up until one week ago, the Sims 2 ran perfectly. On both accounts.
It started to load quicker than it usually does, but whenever I clicked 'Create A Family' or passed my mouse over my neighbourhood... It crashed.
So... I tried my Speed Account, and downloaded another 20 odd Sims from my main account.
Alas, it started to do the same thing as before.
Steps I have taken to solve the dilemma:
-Executed a full system scan; results showed nothing. Not my custom Sims, then.
-Updated all drivers that needed updating; All current. Crashing still occurs.
-Reinstalled the Sims twice; Crashing still occurs.
-Ended all background tasks, including anti-virus software; CPU usage percentage not affecting anything. Crashing still occurs.
-Tried adding '-w' and '-nosound' at the end of target line, as recommended by EA Games; Crashing still occurs.
-Checked system requirements in The Sims 2 booklet; Sweet, nothing there that needs attention.
-Rebooted repeatedly.
Note: The Sims 2 that I own will run on everyone elses computer.
SYSTEM INFORMATION:

So... Is there a flicker of hope for my Sims? ;_;
