we have 2 computers, and when we upgraded the first one, we didnt bother gettin another monitor because we had another. it runs in 640x480. is it possible to get the sims to run on this computer. it runs windows xp, and when it was the primary pc, it run the sims. is there any way to run this without the 'triple-vision' crap when using it?

128mb RAM

the 'old' computer used to run the sims, but with the smaller monitor its cant.
is there any ways to adjsut the monitor/screen resolution so i get a clear picture. pete

ill get back to you on the video card (in use),
What I meant was, running anything in 800x600 on that monitor creates horizontal lines, and you can see 3 mouse pointers. If ever we had to do something on 800X600+, we would simply plug in the current monitor.
To my sis to run the sims on it , the lowest you can choose is 800x600

Hmmm..

Try a different monitor :). Your specs shoudl allow you to play it at 1024 by 768 no problem.

Also, go to:
Propreties>settings>advanced>hardware>list all modes and use 800x600 with 75-100HZ

HZ are how fast the screen re-draws.
Thanks to Cromewell for the info :D

i want to run it on the old pc,

current pc: runs sims, has big monitor, better specs

old pc: has the smaller monitor, with the monitor it USED to have (ie : the current pc monitor)
it worked.

now when i use THE OLD PC, WITH THE 640x480 monitor, it cannot run the sims, which runs in minimum of 800x600. running the monitor in 800x600 makes the screen run vertical lines making it impossible to work out the screen.
