The start menu returns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is sexy if I may say. Nice to see the new CEO of MS doing some good. When this month will we see the update anyone know?
 
Well I am watching Microsoft build conference and when they covered the new features being included in the update to Windows 8.1 they did not cover the new start menu. Kind of odd as that aired today and you would figure that would have been announce in new features being added.

Hey let me ask you something.
Do you like the start menu to be the full screen like it is right now in Windows 8 OR would you rather have it as a small menu like it is in Windows 7 and like it will be in Windows 8 once Microsoft releases the update for it? :rolleyes:

I honestly like both.I am USED TO small menu,but the full screen start menu like it is right now in Windows 8 is also pretty cool lol.
So I don't know...they both rock lol.
 
I like my Start Screen but the new Start Menu mock up looks pretty cool, so I dunno... maybe there's a way to have both? :P

Well Microsoft said that it will be just an update so don't install an update if you want to keep the current one or install it if you want the small START menu.
I just hope you will be able to uninstall that update if you ever want to go back to the previous START screen menu.

But with Microsoft you never know...:P
 
This has come too late for me, I am already settled with Classic Shell, if I switched back to the new MS one now I'd miss my current options that I have on the right hand side, User / Docs / Devices / Control Panel etc

Maybe MS will open up the start menu to customization a little? If I could remove the tiles / apps and have some good old buttons for the above items mentioned that'd suite me :)
 
I'm sure you'll be able to add and remove the tiles on it.

I do think that Start Menu looks really cool though.

Waiting for Windows 8.1 Update 1 to come out first though.
