Thermal Compound required?

Since I'm going to be building a computer (I've been putting this off for a while due too not having enough money) but I live in Beijing, I can speak Chinese but I have no idea how to say thermal compound in Chinese, but do I really need it?

GSAV55 was saying no to not needing to buy aftermarket thermal compound, however you do need to have thermal compound/paste in between the CPU and HSF, whether it be the included stock compound of aftermarket.
