so i was putting my new CPU cooler on today and i got a Little to happy with the thermal compound and spilled some on to the MB. is this going to be a problem because this stuff is stickier then $#!t.

What did it get on on the mobo? Is it touching any metal contacts? If it is, then it will be a problem (depending on what thermal compound you used).

so i scraped all of it off most of it got on to th board not any electronics. dose that stuff really conduct electricity? what is the worse thing that can happen?

Depends what kind of thermal paste you use.

If it's something like Arctic Silver 5, which is made mostly of silver materials, then yes it may. But if you have acrylic thermal paste, it most likely wont.

Regular old rubbing alcohol will clean off most thermal compounds, just make sure it's high purity (I use 91%), and don't fire 'er up right away, just to be safe. ;)

the highest purity i could find was 70%. I'm using some q-tips and i will be cleaning it a few times just to make sure

That's fine.... That's what I've been using and I haven't had any trouble yet.... The beauty with rubbing alcohol is that any excess alcohol evaporates but regardless you have to give time to like computermaineack said.....
