Thermal Grease 101?

Anyone got pics of proper thermal grease application? Thanks.

Also, hey Admins/moderators, ever think of having a Thermal Grease/Paste 101 since it is so critical for some parts?
 
THere's not much to know or say about it... Basically, you just put a very small dab of the stuff on the die of the processor; no where else! I typically spread mine around on the processor untill you can just barely still see the die. I've seen others where they didn't spread it at all, just let the heat sync level it out.
 
I know you didn't ask, but because he answered you so well I figure I would inform you that some thermal compounds can send heat through more efficiently. Such as the Arctic Silver 5 (AS5)
