Just got a quick and painless 1 this time. I remember when I was building a previous build that the motherboard has a sticker where the processor and the mobo touch. I remember after peeling off the sticker, there was the default paste on the mobo (Now this has been a long time, the paste may of been on the processor chip itself). So my question is, with my new build would it be best to buy the Q6600 OEM or Retail, and than put the paste on. Also if there is the stock paste provided do I wipe it clear w/ a cloth and than put the artic silver? or just put the artic on over the default paste? Sorry some may say this is stupid. Been reading newegg reviews but nothing regarding directions.
