thermal paste on core i7 stock fan?

i just opened my new core i7 and was wondering if this is thermal paste on the supplied fan
it dosent say anything in the instructions about applying any so im presuming it is

You should be fine. It's a hot running CPU though - so I'd check the temp with speedfan to make sure it's running cool.

I ran the stock fan for 6 months til I found a really good price on Coolermaster V8. When I took out the old stock fan - it had a ton of dust in it. Make sure you get in there and blow it out with compressed air periodically.

Anything below 70 is safe for this CPU - it runs a bit warmer than Phenom II's.

When ya get your PC built - give it a stress test with Prime95.
