Thermaltake V4 Black Edition Question

I recently bought a Thermaltake V4 Black Edition case and I'm having a problem with the standoffs.

The part of the case where the mobo is mounted has the threaded holes for the standoffs raised quite a bit. It ends up that when the standoffs are in place the mobo is raised to the point where all the rear usb ports and such do not line up with the I/O plate and it is quite annoying.

any advice on how I can fix this?

Keep in mind, I'm a first time builder.

That case has risers built into the motherboard plate, you dont use standoffs. Just be sure if any of the risers dont match a screw hole in the board you put a piece of electrical tape over it. So it doesnt grounds out on the bottom of the board.
