Think my Graphic card died

Hey

The other day I was just working on my computer and all of a sudden a shade over blue when across the whole screen, the Blue screen of death then came up. I then restarted my computer and the same thing kept happening. After about the third time I restarted the computer there was vertical lines on the screen and when windows started I was only running in 640 x 480 and in 4 bit colour plus it has dotted white vertical line all over it.

I thought it may be a virus so I reformatted however the problem is still there. Also when I go to display settings I cant change it form 640 x 480 or 4 bit colour. Could this mean that my graphic card is dead.

I can post a picture of what the screen looks like If that helps.

Any help would be great thanks.

First try booting in safe mode and see if its ok in there and if it is then it could just be video driver, try reinstalling it. However, I feel that it is your card that has taken a crap on you.

Thanks for the advice, I have tried booting in safe mode however I still get the exact same problem. haha I think my card has taken a crap on me.

Do u recon that this means its probably dead?

It's a bad card. If its under warranty, rma it, return it or whatever you got to do to get a new one.
