So i need a new computer and im trying to decide between building a new computer or making one. after picking out some pieces, i saw that making a computer isnt much cheaper than buying a prebuilt one (maybe im just looking at the wrong stuff?) but i got some stuff that is on the cheaper side. with that being said, here's what ive picked out

MoBo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813135085
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103210
Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220315
heatsink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185125
hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145233
PS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817148027
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112154
CD drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106287

so thats everything ive chosen from newegg. im pretty sure that i got all the right stuff, it all fits and im not missing anything. this comes out to be about 466$. after tax and rebates, it comes out to be about 460$. now this seems to be relatively cheap, but i went to the frys website to look at some computers and i came across this computer http://shop1.frys.com/product/5845253?site=sa:PC Computer Pod:Pod1 and its 500$. the processor isnt quite as good, but it comes with an os and a 3 month warranty, so it doesnt seem like im saving money by making a computer. any advice on the computer i made would be great, thanks!

ps i have a graphics card (crappy gefroce 8500) that im going to put in whatever computer i buy until i get more money to buy another card.

Actually I would probably buy the hp. The processor is better. Its cheap because its refurbished.

Mobo: I suggest getting AMD 780G chipset instead. You could upgrade to Phenom II CPU in future if you want. I am not sure if NVIDIA chipset support that.

HDD: Get WD HDD with 32MB Cache with extra $2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136317

CPU: Strongly recommend you get AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 instead.

PSU: APEVIA is not really a good brand...

ya i agree with you... i just built a 7750 system for my wife and it kills her 5200+ setup get a decent ps to
