Thinking about getting a Blu-Ray Drive Help?

Well im thinking about getting one, iv got a nice collection of blu-rays id like to be able to watch on my pc. I was just wondering if I should know anything in advance. I was reading something about having to buy software to play them? Other then that I don't know much, My specs are in the sig and Im running Vista business 32 bit.

Specs would be more then plenty for Blu-ray, Google for some software, odds are LG drives would come with something, their DVD-RW drives come with a decent suite of software

Im only worried because I could have sworn I heard someone say your monitor has to do like 1080 or something. Mine does 1680x1050.
