Hi, I am looking at a Dell Inspiron 1500 for my brother, because he is a Stargate Atlantis fan, and the laptops match up (he's got the decal on the current one). Anyone have any consumer reviews or first hand experience at using that specific model, or to be honest, any general feedback about Dell that might be handy to help in this. My thanks in advance.

Well, I have the Inspiron 1501 with an AMD TL60 2.0 ghz processor and 1GB of ram. I'm not really an AMD fan but I like it. Does what I need it to do, surf the net, Office applications and such, burn dvd's now and then... Just depends on what your brother will be using it for depends on whether it would be good or not.
