So I have been thinking of switching to a less resource demanding anti-virus program.
I currently use Norton Internet Security, 2005 version I think.
I also use XoftSpySE for spam and spyware removal, but that is kind of besides the point.
As to the Norton, I guess I have been taken in by their advertising and am a little wary about switching to a different program (plus, I've just kinda always used them from my first comp...).
From a few threads that are kicking around (that list in the antivirus thread in the "desktop" forum for one), and the "basic malware prevention" sticky, it seems that AntiVir is probably a good choice for an alternative.
A few questions:
Will an alternate antivirus program (Antivir or another) provide adequate protection?
Will other programs be significantly less resource demanding than Norton?
Is Norton such a pain to remove from the computer thta is isn't worth it to try?
