Totals to about $671 after shipping. I already have a hard drive, and I don't want it to go past $700. I don't game very much right now, so I can upgrade my video card later. Any tweaks? I think mostly the only thing up for debate is my mother board... if anyone can suggest a better one for the same price or less that would be great.

Edit: Also, how about a nice looking, reliable, sturdy, cheap case?

Well, originally, I had my budget at about $600, and I decided to up it just for the E6600. The upgrade in power seems worth the price, and like I said, I think I can deal with a lesser GPU for now, maybe until the 8800's drop a little.

Like what? Another gig of ram? I plan on doing that anyway later on? Better video card? Again, I plan on doing that anyway, later on when I have more cash. The processor would be the most expensive to upgrade, so why not get the better one now?

EDIT:BTW, thanks for the Mobo suggestion, but I won't be buying until after the rebate expires. However you did inspire me to look at other mobos, and I found a slightly different one for $110.

which one? which mobo did thine chose? oh and i waould wait untill Q2 2007 in like march. the e6600 is dropping in price to $224. but it depends if you want to wait that long.
