Thinking of upgrading a Graphics Card

I have a graphics card Nvidia GTX 960 2GB. Now I want to upgrade this graphics card with Nvidia GTX - 980 ti. Is it a wise decision of up gradation. I have a monitor of 4K.

Current graphic cards are not good enough for 4K and Polaris+Pascal is around corner so 980Ti is overpriced old technology.

What games do you play? You're going to need some serious GPU firepower to push 4k.

If I were you I'd hold out a little while because, as mentioned, the new line of graphics cards are coming out in the next year. Both are a whole new architecture and are supposed to be a big jump in performance. I think AMD's Polaris line will be out in Q3 or Q4 of this year and Nvidia's Pascal not long after. I'm on mobile, otherwise I'd check.
