I recently purchased several computer commponants and all seem to work perfectly fine, except for either the Abit Motherboad or the CoolMax powersupply. For some reason i get random shutdowns. I dont consider it to be a giant problem, but it is an annoyance, and i dont want any components damaged because of it. I am relativly new to building computers, so I do not know exactly what the problem is. I get shutdowns at seemingly random times, for example, it frequently occures when i'm gaming, yet it also occures when the computer is idling, or, as was the case about 5 minuits ago, when i start up. It is not a restart, and I get no errors when I turn the computer back on. In fact, I have never gotten any errors regarding any of the componants, just these shutdowns.
If it helps, i have an AMD Athlon 4000+ San Diago. 2 x 1 Gig G.Skill Ram (said extreme edition on the newegg website but there were comments that said that it was the value ram), XFX Geforce 6800 GS, CoolMax "SLI" 600 Watt PSU, Abit SLI Motherboard (N82E16813127225), Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS, IEEE 802.11 wireless cardbus/PCI adapter, Maxtor 80GB harddrive (6L080P0), and a Spire case.
P.S. My temps are low-normal. Right now my CPU is sitting at 27C.
