This Error Message.

I am now receiving this error message, and would like to know what I can do to conquer it. I didn't have this problem before I uninstalled the fax program which came with my recently purchased internal fax/modem. That thing gave me a fit for almost as long as I've had it (a good month, or more). When the faxes were going through, they were as slow as molasses - but then they stopped going through at all. I found WinFax Pro, and all is now quick & sweet. After installing WinFax Pro, I uninstalled the previous fax printer. Now, I don't know if that action is the culprit for my present dilema, but the above error message surfaced as soon as I opened up "Word". Each time, in fact, that I open up (and close) that program, I get the error message. I didn't think about it until just now, but I wonder if reinstalling "Word" might be the trick. At any rate, let me know what I can do about this matter.

By the way, I did go to 'Tools' (on the tool bar in "Word"), and there was no mention of 'Macros' there (directed there by via the help files).

... I went to the Tools menu in Word and I see a 'Macro' Menu.... It is right below 'Letters and Mailing' and right above 'Templates and Add-ins'.... I believe you should be looking for the Security option in the Macro Menu...

Yes, I did find it there also - but not at first. Really, IT WAS NOT THERE AT ALL!! - absolutely NOTHING about macros. I have played around there, and have done just about everything that I possibly could - but all to no avail. I tell ya'.....I really have some strange happenings with this computer, at times. That error message, thus far, doesn't seem to be anything more than just a visual disturbance - at the start/closing of "Word" - but I hate the fact that it presents itself at all.

you might want to go ahead and re-install Word. You might want to take some time and research if anyone else has run into the problem you are having with Word and WinFax Pro.
