I just recently got This video card back in November, but I must say I'm not seeing the performace I was hoping for out of it. The deal on Tiger today is This 8800GT for 169 after rebate. Is it that good of a steal and should I go for it, or hold out a while longer with my current card?

I would recommend that you get the 512MB 8800GTS, the price has really plummeted for that card, the extra 10 unified shaders are worth it. Yeah I agree with Thatguy16, its not only the hardware you are buying, you are also buying post sale support as well, so its better to stick with a major manufacturer like XFX, ASUS, Gigabyte etc etc.

KFA2 is actually galaxy. It isn't one of the major brands, but I'm not going to say it's a bad brand; I've known a body or two who was perfectly happy with their galaxy and the support they received.

Only downside is that large rebate check, lol. If galaxy stands behind it, then no problem, but many companies have been known to gripe about these things after the receipt has arrived.. Cause that's alot of lost money.

Most graphics cards come with a free game these days, they used to be reserved for the high end cards, but they are starting to spread it onto the mainstream mid range cards as well.
