so iv been looking in 2 a new comp and was thinking of the new amd x6 but im concerned on being its new
so have any of u guys heard anything good or bad about it.

I have heard nothing but good information about the Phenom II 1055T Six-Core Processor. It runs great with no issues that I've heard. I think it is a great choice if you want to upgrade.

What is your main use? Don't get Phenom IIx6 if you building gaming machine

Why not? Won't CPU intensive games like Crysis and GTA IV benefit from extra two cores?

I'd say don't go for a x6 if you only going to be doing web browsing and so on.

Ok, here's the scoop (at least by what I heard):
The Phenom II X6 runs faster in programs that support six cores (usually), but with programs that don't support six cores, it runs slower than its quad-core counterparts. If you want to future-proof, I believe that the Phenom II x6 is the way to go, but if you're only going to play games or do other tasks that only take advantage of 4 or less cores, don't get it. Get either the Core i5 750 (my preference) or the Phenom II x4 965.

Right now, about... hmm... none of the programs OR games will use 6x cored CPUs. Besides in these times they are certinaly not worth it + they will only be used by 1 or 2 applications..
