Thoughts on Gaming Headsets? elite 800, A50's?

Just this past week I bought my first my first ever headset,I always used a standard mic,or bluetooth headset for talking and used my real surround sound system for sound. I bought a set of turtle beach stealth 400's They are wireless, with a detachable mic for $100. I have to say Im really happy with them, they work on the ps4,ps3,pc I heard if you get some adapter you can use on the xbox one,but havent tried it yet.

I didnt realize how much I would enjoy these,I found myself using them for watching netflix, movies on pc basically when ever I can. The only problem is these are Stereo,While they try to pull off some surround sound features,it just doesnt give you that effect im looking for, like bullets whipping by your head,or doors closing behind you etc. But other than that I think they sound great for $100 Wireless Headset.

Before I wouldnt dream on spending $300 on a headset,But now I know I will get a lot of use out of it,Im willing to dive deeper.

As far as I know from my past few days of looking things up,It seems the Astro A50's and the Turtle Beach Elite 800 are top of the line,Most people tend to say the A50's are the best sounding in the world,But I seen more than a few reviews saying that they broke soon after buying them and they have a problem with quality control,That doesnt sound good to me. I looked at all my local stores to try a A50 but no one had any out to try.

I did try the elite 800's and I thought they felt good and sounded good,Im just not sure if they sounded $300 good. But I did like them.

Im just not sure if I should just stick with my $100 set that im pretty happy with,,or spend another $200 more dollars "assuming I will be able to return to target" to get another set. If anyone has any opinions on any of these,Id love to hear,Im torn. Do I spend the money to get a nicer set to get more of a surround sound feature,or stick with my set that works pretty well and save the money for something else?

I don't think you'll see massive gains in quality by spending more money from what you already have. I'd just keep what you've got.
