Other notes: Some of the prices do not match up with the newegg price due to local deals and whatnot.

I already have 3+ terabytes of storage already so the SSD I have planned is just for the OS and several key programs.

I also have Win 7 64 and all peripherals already. The main monitor will be a 46 inch LCD TV with a 23 inch LCD monitor off to the side for little stuff.

Are you planning on possibly running crossfire down the line? Also, have you looked for combo deals? They are usually an opportunity to save some cash.

Combo that saves $95 with solid PSU and Ram.

Combo Better Case and MoBo, but $55 more than what you have now.

Crossfire is not something I am planning on doing any time soon. More likely would be an upgrade to 12GB of RAM before going to crossfire, but that is because the gaming I do is unlikely to tax that GPU anytime soon. However, I am the guy that likes to have both chrome and firefox open with 60+ tabs open in each, while I am watching a video and playing WoW. Filling up 6GB of memory is something that I could do without too much effort.

As far as the combo deal goes, it saves some cash but it's a step down for both the RAM and the PSU. I could save 95 without a combo by just picking lesser components. If you feel that the downgrades are a better price/performance ratio, that is an argument to have, but I currently like the upgradability that my components give me compared to your combo deal.

They probably would be a good trade off for 'my' uses, but then I don't keep 120 internet tabs open. 750W, much less 850W, would be much more than enough to run your rig with even a 2nd 6870 and I doubt most people would actually notice the difference in performance between 2 sets of 1600 RAM.

That said, you obviously have your reasons for what you've selected. Good luck with your build.:good:
