Thoughts on my new rig idea

Hello computer forum. I have a build in the works and am looking for some feedback!
I've found myself a relatively decent board which is the Gigabyte H81M-S2H and I'll
be sticking 8GB of corsair vengeance DDR3 in there with a core i5 4460.
I'll be using it for music production, video editing watching blu rays and a lot of my day to day multitasking.

Do you reckon the motherboard is any good and would the on board graphics suit what I'm doing?
Had a Gforce 750ti in mind for graphics if need be.

Cheers

:)

The motherboard supports the cpu and up to 16gb of ram, as you do not have a K series processor you won't be overclocking, so this motherboard should be fine for you, unless you need more than 16gb of ram for video editing. You would be using the Intel HD Graphics 4600 gpu integrated on the cpu if you didn't upgrade to a dedicated graphics card, which would be able a playing back HD content. I won't comment on video editing, I will leave that to someone more knowledgeable on the subject than myself.

Sounds like a bit of a basic setup, but whatever suits your budget and needs.

Depending on the video editing application you might get a large boost when using a CUDA card like the 750Ti.
