Threatening to hack my computer?

he i know this guy over the internet and hes suggesting he is gonna do something... he tells me hes got my ip n keeps saying stuff like "keep laughing cause its funny but not as funny as whats about to happen". so im curious as to what he can do with my ip? he sent me all this info he got through my ip, including where i "live" which was way off beside the country and province. but what else can he do? i can just change my ip if i need to cant i?
 
He's most likely just messing around with you. As long as you don't see any suspicious activity/open unsnafe attachments (example: A Picture file that's named "picture.exe") you'll be fine.

Getting IP's is easy...
 
Yeah, sounds like an idiotic jackass... I wouldn't worry about it, if you have a residential gateway firewall, that makes it a lot tougher for him to do anything directly...

probably used those for your info. forum posts would leave an ip. if you have a dynamic ip then it'll be tough for him. no nerd would go through all the trouble unless you you e-flamed him or something. i'm guessing so kuz he said, "keep laughing...."

aha yea you could say i e-flamed him. we were on a css team together and he was the leader and we lost our first match so he kicked everyone off the team. someone (i dont even know who) started a thread on the cal forums about the incident and had quotes from me making fun of him and talking shit....but thats only part of it.
