Thumb Drive Problem

Hey guy .. i had a scandisk thumbdrive 2Gb .. when even i put it into my USB port .. a small little icon the top botton right of my screen will pop up asking me to safely remove the hardware ... n i had also successfully install the driver .. but .. i cant locate my thumb driver .. at My Computer .. the thumb drive is not given a location (example E: ) so what is the problem ? not only my thumbdrive .. my Zen Mirco too ... but when ever i try it on another system it seem to work fine ..

If it was successfully installed.. it should show up as a removable drive... however since it is not, do you have any other usb ports and have you triedit on them if you do?

Is your current usb port compatible with 2.0 if that is what the Scandisk is made for.. However, if it was.. it should be able to work on the older usb speed.

Something you can try is if that thing pops up, right click on it and end/stop it. Then reinsert it again.

im not too sure about the USB speed .. but i try others USB ports .. but it still not showing a removeable drive ... i got a razor mouse nokia cable router cable and a webcam total of 4 out of 6 usb ports i got ..
