thunderbird issue and sending pictures

this is about the 3rd email i have. Mostly can't open attachments or nothing there. Using xppro and Thunderbird.

The e-mails you send with pictures attatched don't come acrossed. They are all grey. Is there some software I need?

One other thing. Im opening just fine or i would have not sent in the 1st place because i would have suspected it might have been corrupted. Ideas please.

I have the same problem and am working on it now. I think I have an answer.
In Tbirds address book each address PROPERTIES has a check box to Allow Remote Images In HTML. I have checked these and sent a test email which seems to have worked OK. Am still waiting verification.
Can't find anything on Tbirds help forum.

Bit of new info - this seems to have been a bug since 2006 at least. Check the Bug Fix comments at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315625 especially comments 22 and 34

What version do you have? I have Thunderbird 2.0 and I haven't got any issue with that. Maybe you have to upgrade, version 2.0 is released, not beta any more.
