Thwarted by a toddler

Hi all ! Somehow, while pressing buttons at either the front or back of my hard drive tower, my two year old son has managed to do the following to my pc...

Each time I now shut down my PC, it gets to the final black coloured screen then starts back up again automatically !!! The only way I can turn it off completely is to pull the plug out of the wall. Does anyone have any idea what he may have done to it and more importantly, any ideas on how to fix it. It's probably a simple solution, but check out my user name :o

Hoping someone out there can help. Possibly the Super-Nanny. ;)

Sounds like your power supply may have gone a little whack... not sure what could have caused it. I have a relative that had a power supply that when you turned the computer off, it wouldn't turn back on unless you unplugged the power supply for a few seconds, plugged it back in, and then turned it on. This sounds similar, and probably could be fixed with a new power supply, but may not be worth it... if it's a Dell, you'd have to buy a special BTX power supply which will cost about twice what it's worth (probably about $50 plus shipping), unless you want to cut the back out of your case and get an ATX to BTX adapter. If it's not a dell, you might be able to find a suitable power supply for around $30-$40.
