Time to upgrade?

Does anyone think I should upgrade anything on my PC. Details about it are in my signature.

Thank you for any recommendations.

Are you big into gaming? Do you find that you can't play the games you enjoy on high settings?

I am big into gaming and getting started into recording and mixing music. I mostly play games on steam such as ARMA 3 and CS:GO; and other titles like BF3 and Titanfall. I cannot play ARMA 3 on ultra without some lag, so I play that on Medium. I actually play most games like that on medium due to the fact I get some lag on ultra. It plays other games beautifully on ultra though, such as WoW.

Thank you for the comment.

Lag's likely a result of the GPU.

How much would you be looking to spend?
There's no gigantic sore thumbs for your build, although a few areas you could improve on depending on budget.

Really not looking too spend a whole lot, but I do want 60+ FPS on ultra settings . Only reason I say that is because I read somewhere that when recording gameplay, for youtube and such, to post in 1080p you need to record gameplay at 60+ FPS.

If you're into ebay and you don't want to spend a lot of money you could sell that 7850 for around $120 and grab a 7970 for around $200 which would be a big performance jump. You could also buy another 7850 and do crossfire since your motherboard supports it.

Which would I benefit more from? My GPU crossfired or upgrading the one completely? And also you mentioned there are no sore thumbs but a few places I could upgrade, which places did you mean?

Thank you.

The easiest way is sell 7850, get secondhand 7970. Personally won't bother crossfire

Okay, thanks. Just a few questions. I was looking at 7970s on eBay and the price range is all over the place. Is their a brand I should look for and any I should stay away from. Another thing is the amount of fans on the unit. Some have 1, 2 or 3, or does it not really matter. Lastly, I have never gone through the process of switching a GPU... Is their a small guide you know of or is it just uninstalling the old drivers before you install the new ones?

Thank you in advance.

Hmm I wouldn't bother with CrossFire or even with buying a 7970 unless you get some sort of killer deal on one. That's a 2 and a half year old card now. May as well get an R9 280/280X or a GTX 770 if you're already looking at 7970s. Newer card.

Once you have upgraded the graphics card you may find you don't even need a new CPU.
