time to water cool

The XT for all intents and purposes is the best block available, less restrictive than the HK, requires less precision when mounting than the HK, and more readily available. For a CPU only loop i dont really recommend going with an XT and a double swiftech, your temperatures would be better off going for a better rad such as a BIX, SR1, RX, or one of the new EK radiators and a GTZ, because how much heat you can dissipate matters more than the waterblock, only with a nice radiator would i recommend spending the extra on an XT.

so how about a gtz block and a ek xt 360 rad what pump and res then.?

Probably a Black Ice would be the best choice, as the MCR 220 wouldn't work so well with the XT. A bottleneck of sorts.

Thank you for the info i am a Nobie all the way when it comes to wc.Ok how about the gtz,ek 360, should i change pumps and res as well.I am trying to make it so it cools as well as it can but still try and keep it very clean looking.I like things to look very neat and well organized.

So this is what my parts list looks like.
cpu block gtz
pump mcp355
res top xspc acrylic res top
rad ek 360

So if that looks good i will order the parts. So I can get started designing my loop.

you guys can do what you want, but, i'll leave you with this link: http://www.realredraider.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=13739&page=3 and picture

My parts will be here on Monday.I can't wait.I already started taking my Armor+ a part and making mods.I will be keeping every thing in side the case. This looks like it will be a tight fit, but should work out OK.I am just worried about having enough air space for the rad and fans. The rad looks is going to be on the bottom will that make much of a problem with air in the system?I hope not that is my only choice for internally mounted. But on the other hand it will fit great in the 800d case. Thanks to every one who helped me out.I really wanted the heatkiller but went with the swiftech xt at the last minute.I hope it all works out well. Has any one heard of the Alpha cooler Yellowstone it looks sweet and you can get it in diff colors to match your case color theme?
