Hi,
my organization is looking for a new set of computers. Our area of usage for these computers is very specific, so we want the new computers to fit the needs as good as possible.
I'll just lay out what we will use them for:
We hold presentations many times per week. On the presentations we firstly use the computers when we register the attendees. For the registration part we use RFID-readers, so we need a USB port. We also use Phidget Control Panel, so for our new computers it is important that we can still use this.
After the presentation, the attendees join eat and talk. During this time we send our computers around with a survey for the attendees to answer. It is, naturally, of high importance that our new computers are easy to send around.
On the ones we have now we can turn the screen around and close the PC. In this way the PC gets as small as possible when sent around. We are, however, hoping for something even easier.
A tablet would be very smart, but the problem is this: we are not sure our software for the survey and for the registration part would fit for a tablet. Doing big changes to the software is something we hope not to do.
So there you have it! Any tips and ideas on a smart solution here would be very much appreciated.
