My setup was just about that much, but I got all my stuff off newegg.com and they don't deliver out of the U.S.

just get a better cpu in this like a 4000 san diego, im not sure how much higher the prices are for you tho, but this setup is around 2100 usd

what i dont get is how Intel are at 3.xxGHz and AMD are at 2.2GHz, 2.4GHz processor wise the FSB Socket 939 Processor its 2.2GHZ my Intel one is 2.66GHz why buy?

The AMD gets more work done per clock cycle so doesnt need a super high clockspeed.

i checked out the price of the AMD SOCKET 939 the price of that alone is 1,272.36 USD thats like half the budget lol!

1. Then dont buy that chip.
2. Both AMD and Intel have chips that (attempt) to cater to all price brackets
