To buy or build

I'm looking into moving from laptop to desktop. I have less than $1000 for everything including monitor. Would like 20"+.

I don't do much gaming now that I have a laptop, before I played some WOW and some RPS's.

Looking to play some rift and shogun2.. light playing not all day I go to school and work full time so maybe 1 hr a day, not sure if that matters. I also plan on having Itunes and Microsoft office and various normal things on it. So its my daily computer that can do the gaming and not lag on me.

What do you think is a good price for that?

I have no idea how to build a computer, but I read the how to and I'm thinking of tackling that way.

So the way I see it if i build it, it would cost me about $700 for the computer parts and $300 for the monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Could I build a good every day/gaming computer for less than $700?

For that price, it will cost more to buy all the parts again and build it yourself. I'd take that machine for $1000

Then if I were you I'd take it apart and rebuild it, to learn how to do that for future builds, and reset the overclock and try yourself :)
 
I don't even know what overclocking means. I figure it boost performance and sounds cool. Yea I'm a noob sorry. I'm trying to see if it will come with a 23" monitor then I'm all over it.

Overclocking is making things run higher than stock speeds, like adding a turbocharger to your car. Also gives you better performance if done right, but can harm your system if done wrong.

I'd leave it for now, but yeah find out if that comes with the screen.
 
like what linkin said, that build would cost more if you order it and build urself.IMO i would jump on that sell(without the screen) but your getting a screen with it so its even a better buy.like what linkin said again,just take it all apart and rebuild it if you want to know how its done.BRO, JUMP ON THAT SELL!
