To delete program requires administrator status

When I try to delete the program Acronis True Image Home 2012 I get the message “you do not have sufficient access. Contact system administrator.” I tried to delete it in CCleaner too, and it says Error 2 can not find file.

This is my home computer using Vista. I Googled this and went into CMD and typed “Net user administrator /active:yes, but I still can not delete. Please help.

John:

I tried Revo and Acronis is simply NOT found by the program. Acronis is listed in Vista Search. I find it using CCleaner, and it is on my desktop. However, as far as Revo is concerned I do not have Acronis on my computer. I asked the forum at Acronis and uing Revo is their recomendation too.

The Acronis people also listed commands to change or delete things in my registry, but I do not feel confident with that. The posting in the forum even says “do at your own risk.” First the Acronis program does not work and one of their tech people tell me that they have known about the problem, but nothing was done about it. Now I cannot even delete their program without putting my computer at risk. Any recommendations?

None that I can think of at the moment. I would scan your system for malware though to make sure nothing has changed. What about logging into safe mode onto administrator account?
