To hot

does seem a tad high, i have a 3.0ghz p4, and that idles at around 40, under load goes to 52 max, but i think mine is high...

what cooling system do you have?

That's fairly warm for an idle temp, but fine for load. If that's idle, then what does it get to under load? It's unlikely to reach critical temps either way.

it depends though, because p4 to tend to run alot hotter...

i have more case fans and cooling than my friend's amd 3700 but his idles at around 25...

im replacing my psu to see if that makes a difference, it seems to be stressing...

That's nothing compared to what my processor was running at one day. My P4 3.0 Ghz was running at 85°C, unless my mobo was reading the temp the wrong way. After cleaning out the dust from the heatsink and adding some Arctic Silver 5 it went down to 55°C. This is all idle by the way.

Anyone know any good programs to monitor CPU temps and the like?

You'll be ok for now my 3.2 oc to 3.4 runs 52. Things to think about are the last time you dust out you PC ( clean the fans ). Maybe need to replace the old paste on the CPU.

why is everybody going on about cpu's? this is about a graphics card, gpu's and cpu's dont compare.
i would say its a little on the high side. if i were you i would try and find out the temperature of your graphics card when it is under load conditions.
also, what is your case temp (often called system temp) as this may have a bearing on your temps

it is about processors, i think he said that it is the nivdea monitor is showing his processor temps, they do seem high, i dont rate speedfan, tends to mess my pc up...i use everest, it has more feautures too!
