To Plug in or Not to Plug In

How do you guys treat your batteries. I usually run the battery low and then plug in charge it while using it. If I'm home I'll take the battery out and run off of ac power, but does it matter, or whats your opinion. I've heard many people saying not to keep the laptop plugged in while the battery is charged, which i don't but I was wondering how else you treat the batter?

for the year I have had my laptop, it has always been plugged in, a couple of weeks ago I unplugged it to see how long it would last cause I heard to keep it plugged in will ruin your battery, I got four hours out of it.

Dont bother worrying about it like newer Drills Laptops are eqquiped with Lithium Ion batteries which apart from being more powerful a third of the weight less drain on standby) they also have no memory effect so it just runs and runs and runs
