To wait, or not to wait? AMD Turion II Ultra vs. Core i3

Okay, so I managed to raise 530$ exactly to buy this laptop from TigerDirect:
-Gateway NV5387u
15.6' HD LED Screen
4GB DDR2 677MHz
AMD Turion II Ultra Dual-Core M600 2.4GHz
320GB 5400RPM HDD
ATI Radeon™ HD 4200 Graphics
802.11n
5.84 lbs

Total price: 530$

To me, this seems like a great deal, it's fast, and will handle the casual games that I am thinking of playing.

But, I saw that some Core i3's that are being released for laptop are around the 630$ area.

I was wondering if I should try to save up and buy a Core i3.

Besides searching the internet and trying to watch HD movies, I plan to play CoD MW2

Also, most cheap Core i3 330M (2.13GHz) only come with the intel intergrated graphics.

With the HD4200 you won't be able to play MW2 with much eye candy, but it will play. If you plan on gaming at all, avoid any Intel IGP. If you can, avoid integrated graphics all together, but an nVidia or ATI IGP will easily outperform any current Intel offering.

Does these computer wiith the i3 come with a graphic cards? Cause I will tell you that the intergrated graphics on the i3 suck really bad. But if they come with a same or better graphic cars then save and get that cause the i3 is a better cpu.

You're making a HUGE trade-off if you go with the i3. While it's physically a dual-core that runs 2 virtual cores so it acts like a quad-core, the amount of usable performance you will get out of that over the AMD won't be that much. CAN the i3 blow the AMD out of the water? Sure, but you won't get that much extra performance out of it. However, downgrading from an ATI card with DEDICATED RAM to an Intel integrated chip with SHARED RAM is going to drastically reduce the performance of the computer in gaming situations. It's like owning a Ferrari in a retirement community; sure it looks nice and has lots of power, but it won't ever be able to do what it was intended for.

Ha ha ha! What? Impress the ladies? I suppose...if they can see it.

OP: If you can save up for a newer laptop with any dedicated graphics card, you will be much happier.
