hey everyone,
so ive decided that my computer is still too hot!
im thinking about building my own case out of acrylic ive actually already
mapped it out in illustrator i designed it to have 7 120mm fans....but i was just wondering if anyone knows of any computer cases that can handle atx boards and 7 or more 120mm fans with little to no modding??? i looked on newegg n didnt really like what they had to offer...im looking for something that looks like the sunbeamtech ufo case but...ya know with more 120mm fans

Jesus christ why would you need 7 120mm fans? There's a certain point where more fans does not equal better temperatures. Having correct air flow from front to back, bottom to top is the most important thing in keeping a cool system.

What exactly are you planning to build and what heatsinks are you using.

unless your going the liquid cooling route with two 120.3 rads, thats a bit unnecessary, your main problem is probably the case you're using right now

hahaha 7 it totally excessive...but i got a deal on the fans n i just wanted to utilize all of them...basically the plan is the sunbeamtech ufo case with the hdds dvd n psu on the bottom...i would have 2 fans on the first level, on the second level i would have the mobo with 2 fans in the front where the sata ports are, 1 directly on the gpu n 2 for exhaust on the back, it looks pretty crazy ill post a pic. of it since its kinda hard to describe, n yes the case im using now sux for cooling i actually cut into the acrylic n put more fans for intake and exhaust.....
oh my heatsinks are gonna be the ones connected to the mobo n the zalman cnps9500 for the cpu, but cooling for my current case is the problem so thats y im looking for a new case...ive learned just because it looks cool doesnt mean its gonna "be cool" ya know? hahaha but if correct airflow is more important than having a hurricane in a box then i might just have to keep some fans for back up reasons i guess

Think the NZXT Zerro has 7 120 fans but they are already installed. Think they make a Zerro 2 that just has 3 120 installed and you can add 4 more.

ok heres the image of the computer i plan to build myself....ppl said 7 fans is too much and it most likely is but maybe you guys can help me out or give me advice on my design ya know??

oh ya n its gonna be all acrylic with the front face black...the side where the 2 fans are...the little circles are the on-off switches n leds...so tell me what cha think or maybe just buy a new case?

Coolermaster Centurion 590.

7 fans, one being a 80m x 80mm x 15mm (low profile) behind the CPU.

Pretty awesome.

With just 2 fans, im getting the same temp I sused to get before with 4 fans.

Its a great case

GUY ARE YOU crazy try to change your own with two times more expencive ones which rotates faster this is INSANE

sorry dude, i cant quite understand what ur sayin...
but i am planning on either building a case or buying a new one...i was just seeing if people had any suggestions on

A lot of people change stock fans with better ones (not always faster ones though).

Instead of using 7 120mm fans, which will probably make your computer sound like a jet engine, use 3 to 4 of them a long with a high end aftermarket heatsink. You'll get MUCH better temperatures.

hahah ya but i really dont care how loud it is...besides
i know its workin hahahaha but i dont mind noise so im probly gonna go with a case that has at least 5 fans...since i wanna use all my fans
thanx everyone!
ill post my decision tomorrow either to go with atx mid tower or
just build the acrylic case i designed...hmm

well, with all my fans in my antec 900 i have 6 120mm fans and that 220mm on top, so i guess 7 in total isnt THAT bad...

in total ill have 8 120mm fans with the psu, and the 90mm heatsink
ill call it the tornado box!

remember, acrylic doesnt absorb heat, and release it as well as metal does. So you have to place the fans in the best possible way, to allow ALL the air in the case to me moved...
