My dad has this model, its very impressive. Quiet and battery is fantastic.

Under "ideal" conditions yes, probably more around 8hrs or so actual usage.

My Dad gets 9 hours out of regular use, with office documents and surfing on Chrome.

He uses the Panda Cloud Virus scanner, which saves battery life somewhat.

I know someone who has this laptop and it has around 5/6 hours battery life, very slow, very small hd (8gbs) and now its putted out!
