Torrented OS Vs. Retail

I was just wondering if there was any difference between a torrented OS versus a retail one, and if so what are they. (I'm not saying I'm going to torrent one, I just want to know if there are any differences.)

Actually, you can get updates from pirated Operating Systems.

The biggest difference is that the retail version comes with a legit key while the pirated/torrented version does not.

not only is it illegal but these people who crack them and modify windows are not trust worthy-who's to say they arnt filling the files full of backdoor trojans or key loggers?

Not to mention that there is no guarantee it will be a complete version--and could potentially be a massive mess.

speedyink couldn't believe that someone was asking the difference between torrented OSs and retails versions. I replied to him saying that yes, it is ridiculous but there are still people the don't know the obvious.
