Well, first off, hello to everyone, first post. After searching everywhere online I couldnt find a handbook for repairing my toshiba equium a200-1vo, searched youtube and there is videos of some guy dissembling a sattelite but it isnt the same.

The story begins one drunken night where I came back and somehow my spew ended up on my laptop on the other side of the room, I didnt realise at the time then when I turned her on the next moring some of the keys werent working and it was visibly wet. The return key doesnt work or anything.

Now after looking around I heard that the computer electronics might still be safe, this all happened a week ago and it has been cleaned since then, it still turns on and is working fine, just that the keypad doesnt work so cant do anything with it. I would rather not take it to a repair centre.

I basically need help on taking it apart if someone can help me out, and basically what to do after that as I dont want to break it.

Any help would be appreciated

ugh. thats a bummer. well, don't know if it applies to all equium toshibas, but http://www.ehow.com/how_2158645_remove-toshiba-equium-keyboard.html this resource might prove useful. usually laptops have "similar" systems. pop off plastic strip along base of monitor (where power buttons sometimes are.) and remove 2-4 small screws, lift the keyboard, disconnect the ribbon cable from the mobo, and replace. ebay from hong kong is good for replacements, slow but reliable. cheers.

mickey- I scoped your link out but mine aint the same, it seems that there is nothing for my model, pissin me right off. Most of them do have that strip, but it doesnt seem to pop off on mine. Cheers for suggestion though

LA1- tried your link but my model aint there......

anyone got any other ideas?
