Hi everyone, recently i decided to try and get my Toshiba A30 back up and running after a BSOD issue a year or so back. It's a P4 2.8GHz with 512 RAM (originally 256) and a 40GB HDD so it's not a high spec machine it's just become more of a personal project to get it working again.
I've formatted the hard drive and loaded the newest OS i had laying around which was unfortunately Windows ME. I started it up and loaded my drivers (sound, video, updated BIOS...etc) a few days ago but as usual i've encountered a problem. The USB ports do not work, for example i plug in my USB flash drive and it powers up fine but the computer doesn't recognise i've plugged anything in.
Everything else works great; speakers, display, CD drive, Firewire port, PCMCIA slot...
Anyone have any ideas why they aren't working ?
Any help would be much appreciated !
