Toshiba battery ?

I have a satellite A105-S4074 that's about six years old.

Anyway, I think I need a new battery. I just got my laptop back after about 6-8 weeks because I needed a new inverter.

I got it back this past weekend and wasn't really around to use it much. I made sure to power it on and the screen worked and I was able to use it like normal. Well I turned it on this morning and after I unplugged it to go into the other room, the laptop shut off and now it will not power on.

The display lights indicate that I'm connected to AC power. The battery light is a solid amber color, which means that it is charging I believe. I don't think that's working properly though.

I was going to order a new battery, but I was looking for input before I did so.

Any suggestions or comments is appreciated. Thank You

When not connected to the AC adapter, solid amber means the battery is running out of charge. Your battery has lost the ability to hold a full charge anymore.

If you're not looking to get a newer laptop and want to use this laptop for a while, then I'd get a new battery. The laptop is six years old though, and those older Toshiba laptops are just absolute garbage.
