Toshiba... Is this a great deal?

Toshiba Satellite at Best Buy for $400. They are sold out, but may get some more in. Is it worth going and standing in line for? I would use it for web surfing, e-mailing photos from a digi camera, and some Photoshop use. I know Photoshop may run a little slow, but most of that work I will be doing at home on my desktop. I'd just like to be able to "tweak" a photo a bit before e-mailing it. I don't really plan to use it for games. Maybe the RAM should be upgaded?

They did have one on display. I really like the "matte" screen. This has an "XGA" screen. Is that good, since I like not having the glare that most screens seem to have? Is Toshiba a good brand? Any idea on battery run time?

THANKS!

thats not too bad. but best buy will probably never get another in.
Yup, even if they did have it in stock, they only set aside a few for advertisement purposes. They can afford to let a few go for cheap to lure peeps in, but when they run out, they'll get it in stock when the sale's up. :D

... but it was a good buy.

I have a Toshiba laptop, i HATE it, worst computer i've ever owned, nothing but problems since the day I got it. They refuse to fix anything under warranty, after only owning the laptop for 2 months I had to take it apart myself to fix a bad solder job on the DC power connector. They wanted $80 to fix it, plus all the wasted time bringing it to the repair depot and back. So i fixed it myself, and thats just one of my many many compaints about Toshiba.
STAY AWAY FROM TOSHIBA!!
